Which cookies this site uses
Only those of Google Analytics, and only if you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit. Until you choose, or if you decline, the site installs neither its own nor third-party cookies, and it never uses advertising tools.
Google Analytics
If you accept, the site loads Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to count visits in aggregate form: pages viewed, time spent, type of device, country and where you came from. It installs the cookies _ga and _ga_8H5Y0ZB879, which last up to 2 years. The data are kept for 2 months, are not used for advertising and are not shared with other Google services. Google may transfer data to the United States with the safeguards of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time with «Cookie preferences» at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics is no longer loaded and the site deletes its cookies.
Local storage
The browser saves three technical preferences without personal data: whether you have already seen the loading screen of the home page (it lasts as long as the session), the light or dark mode you have chosen and your cookie choice. This is technical storage exempt from consent under the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines of 10 June 2021, because it only serves the working of the page.
Google Maps
The map on the «Marsala & around» page loads from Google Maps only when you tap the «Load the map» button. At that moment Google may install its own cookies, according to its privacy policy. If you do not tap the button, nothing is loaded from Google.
